Warehouse Manager

Job Summary:
Ndola Prime is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for managing staff, optimizing processes, and ensuring the efficient and safe handling of goods. Your strategic thinking and organizational skills will drive our warehouse performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management: Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing products. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Inventory Control: Implement inventory management strategies to ensure accurate stock levels, minimize shrinkage, and optimize space utilization. Conduct regular audits and cycle counts.
Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Conduct safety training and inspections, addressing any hazards or issues promptly.
Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations. Prepare reports for management and make recommendations for improvements.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including procurement and logistics, to ensure smooth coordination of activities and timely order fulfillment.
Budget Management: Assist in budget planning and management for warehouse operations. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficient practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in warehouse management or logistics, with a strong track record of leadership.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in warehouse management systems and inventory software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
