Warehouse Assistant

Job Summary:
Ndola Prime is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting various warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in ensuring efficient warehouse processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Inspection: Assist in the receipt of incoming goods, checking for quality and accuracy against purchase orders. Report any discrepancies or damage to the warehouse supervisor.
Storage Management: Organize and store products in designated areas, ensuring efficient use of space and compliance with safety regulations. Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch according to company standards. Ensure that all orders are accurate and complete before shipment.
Inventory Control: Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure product freshness. Report low stock levels to the warehouse manager.
Safety Practices: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the warehouse. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed. Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working condition.
Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff and departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Assist in training new team members as required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in warehousing or logistics are a plus.
1+ years of experience in a warehouse or logistics role.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks.
Proficient in using warehouse management software and basic computer applications.
