Position Overview

The Senior Networks & Infrastructure Administrator provide planning, documentation, setup,
configuration and management of our systems infrastructure and network nodes i.e. links, radios,
switches, routers, firewalls and servers.

1. Network Planning:

Assessment of current network infrastructure & identify strengths, weaknesses,
opportunities, and threats.
Capacity planning to ensure that the network can handle the current and anticipated load.
Design for security, redundancy and high availability to minimize downtime and exposure.

2. Network Documentation:

Provide a detailed network architecture design for all the network nodes and servers.
Provide a detailed network CMDB with IPs, VLANs, Network node ports & server port details.
Maintain/Manage the updating/revision of the architecture & CMDB documents.

3. Network Configuration:

Configuration of network nodes access security by following the best practices.
Configuration of nodes interface IP addresses, routing, access control lists, DHCP, VLANs etc.
Configuration of partners S2S VPNs and management of end users VPN access.

4. Network Management & Support:

Day to day support with any reported network issue which might require inhouse support or
partner support.
Day to day support with network administration i.e. VPN users profile definition, editing and
removal.
Day to day network configurations backup on the network nodes and servers.
Day to day end user support for any reported network challenges.
Prepare weekly and monthly network performance reports.

5. Network Monitoring & Fine Tuning:

Network monitoring tool implementation and management.
Day to day network nodes performance & links bandwidth monitoring.
Plan to introduce strategic configurations/links/nodes to improve the network performance.

6. Infrastructure Administration:

Addition of new infrastructure on the network.
Systems infrastructure maintenance.

Organizational Alignment

Reports directly to the Head – Information & Technology.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in networking engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a networks administrator or in a related role.
Professional certifications like CCNA/CCNP/ CompTIA Network+ is a plus.
Experience in managing S2S/end users VPNs is a plus.
Experience in managing Linux servers network configuration is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
