Senior Mechanic
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of diesel engines, heavy-duty vehicles, and machinery. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, gearboxes and other vehicle systems.
Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
Inspect and test vehicle components to ensure proper functionality.
Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and fix mechanical issues.
Supervise and mentor junior mechanics and apprentices.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor time.
Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure timely completion of projects.
Ensure all work is completed to company and safety standards.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in a senior or lead role.
Strong understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and computer systems for repairs.
 Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and team leadership abilities.
ASE Certification in Diesel Mechanics (preferred).
