Industrial Training Centre (ITC) is a public institution under the Ministry of Technology and Science. ITC would like to recruit suitable candidates to fill in the following vacant positions.
TRAINING MANAGER(1)
QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12 School Certificate or its equivalent
Degree in Engineering ; Automotive Engineering / Electrical and Electronics/Mechanical Engineering / Information Communication Technology
Membership with Engineering Institute of Zambia a must
Certificate or Diploma in Teaching Methodology and accreditation to TEVETA an added advantage
Computer knowledge and clean driving license a must
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five (5) years working experience in a similar field
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide policy guidelines for training activities, evaluate training activities and ensure training standards are well managed
Develop demand driven courses
Prepare annual budget for operations
Management of resources for training department to ensure optimum usage of the same
Market ITC’s products
Supervise Heads of Sections to ensure quality training is provided in a conducive environment
Lecturing and giving assignments and tutorials to students
Competence in guiding all practical works
Carry out consultancy services /research to generate income for the Centre
HEAD OF SECTION TRANSPORT(1)
QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12 School Certificate or its equivalent
Degree in Logistics & Transport or its equivalent
Membership with Zambia Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport a must
Teaching Methodology and accreditation to TEVETA an added advantage
Computer knowledge and Driving License a must
Motor Vehicle Technician Certificate or Diploma an added advantage
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two (2) years working experience in a similar field
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for organization of the Transport Section by providing timetables and allocating work to Lecturers/Driver Instructors and ensures that the same is adhered to
Management of resources for the department to ensure optimum usage of the same
Ensures lecturers/Driver Instructors follow the approved syallabi of TEVETA/RTSA respectively
Lecturing and giving assignments and tutorials to students
Competence in guiding all practical works especially driver training
Carry out Consultancy Services/Research in Transport related courses
LECTURERS AUTOMOTIVE (2)
QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12 School Certificate or its equivalent
Advanced Diploma in Automotive Engineering or its equivalent
Membership with Engineering Institute of Zambia a must
Teaching Methodology and accreditation to TEVETA an added advantage
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two (2) years working experience in a similar field
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and lecturer notes
Deliver lessons to students
Prepare and administer tests to students
Evaluating schemes of work, lessons plans and lecturer notes
Supervise workshops classroom activities and demonstrate proper use of equipment/machinery/tools
LECTURER MECHANICAL (1)
QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12 School Certificate or its equivalent
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Membership with Engineering Institute of Zambia a must
Teaching Methodology and accreditation to TEVETA an added advantage
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two (2) years working experience in a similar field
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and lecturer notes
Deliver lessons to students
Prepare and administer tests to students
Evaluating schemes of work, lessons plans and lecturer notes
Supervise workshops classroom activities and demonstrate proper use of equipment/machinery/tools
Able to teach related subjects – mathematics, science and drawing
PART-TIME DRIVER INSTRUCTORS (4)
QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12 School Certificate or its equivalent
PSV CE Driving License with a minimum experience of five (5) years as a driver
Basic Mechanics an added advantage
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two (2) years working experience in a similar field
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Instruct driver trainees in manipulation of hand foot levers and steering to drive motor vehicles following the Road Safety Traffic Agency (RTSA) regulations efficiently to prepare trainees for government examiners
Preparing learner drivers lesson plans and handouts
Instruct trainees on the operation of motor vehicles
Conducts mock test to trainee drivers
Ensures training vehicles are road worth
