HEAD OF SECTION – HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Job Summary

To co-ordinate effectively and efficiently training activities and assess trainees’ performance against agreed TEVETA standards on heavy equipment operator training. Supervise affairs of the Section in order to maintain standards.

Professional Qualification

Diploma or Advanced Technician Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair or equivalent
Diploma in Technical Teaching or Certificate in Teaching Methodology.
Certificate of competency on excavator, front-end loader and dump truck equipment will be an added advantage. Valid drivers’ license Class “CE” will be an added advantage.

Education

Grade 12 School Certificate with five ‘O’ levels (Credit or better, including Mathematics and English)

Professional Membership

Member of Engineering Institute of Zambia

Experience

3 years experience as a trainer in heavy equipment operator or equivalent.
Hands-on experience with excavator, front-end loader and dump truck equipment operations.
Two years management experience.

Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong planning skills
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications
