Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Customer Field Service Technician (Electrician) to join our team. This role involves the assembly, commissioning, repair, and maintenance of our cutting-edge Mill Relining Technologies. You will also support spare parts sales and provide training and technical assistance to our clients across South Africa and Rest of Africa.
The position requires frequent domestic and international travel (between 80 to 150 days annually) and working extended hours while on-site. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of our client operations and contribute to maintaining our leadership in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble, commission, maintain, and repair the full range of Mill Relining Technologies at mine sites.
Provide technical training and support to mine site personnel on the effective use of equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring timely and effective problem-solving.
Support spare parts sales for existing customers and assist with stock audits at client warehouses.
Collaborate with the Service Superintendent to meet customer needs and ensure high-quality service delivery.
Follow company health, safety, and environmental policies while working on-site.
Prepare and submit timesheets, expense reports, and other necessary administrative documentation.
Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
Trade Qualification (Electrical Technician) – Required.
Experience in the OEM industry, specifically with grinding mills and relining technologies – Desirable.
Experience in hydraulic systems and electrical schematics-Â Required.
Well-developed communication, computer literacy, and time-management skills – Required.
Ability to travel internationally and domestically as required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with maintenance programs – Required.
Valid South African driver’s license and ability to obtain an international driver’s license.
