ASSISTANT HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER-RESOURCING -ZRA06 (1 POSITION), HUMAN RESOURCE FUNCTION

A.    PURPOSE

Reporting directly to the Human Resource Officer – Resourcing, the job holder will be responsible for effectively supporting the ZRA business in the implementation of best HR practice policies in Resourcing and Planning of the human resource including recruitment, selection and placement in the Authority.

 

Responsibility:

B.    MAIN DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.    Assisting in the implementation of the Authority’s recruitment and selection policy;
2.     Raising requisitions and checking that all employment requisitions submitted for recruitment are within approved establishments;
3.    Preparing pre-recruitment documentation such as job adverts, short-listing minutes, interview folders and rating forms;
4.    Participating in the short-listing process of applicants, interviews and recommendation of applicants for appointment in line with relevant rules and regulations for fair employment practices;
5.    Processing payments other recruitment logistics;
6.    Preparing invitation letters for interviews, offer letters and regret letters to all candidates at an appropriate time;
7.    Attending to correspondence regarding employment inquiries;
8.    Support induction/orientation of new and existing staff on employment related matters;
9.    Manage all recruitment records of new and existing staff to facilitate obligations;
10.    Ensuring that reference letters are undertaken and secured for newly recruited staff;
11.    Monitoring the expiry of probationary periods for new entrants and ensures that staff are confirmed at the appropriate time;
12.    Assisting in the preparation of budget estimates for Human Resource;
13.    Assisting in the collection of data to be used in Human Resource planning;
14.    Prepare employee related statistics and reports to support decision making; and
15.    Perform human resource related duties as assigned from time to time.

C.    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

1.    Grade 12 School Certificate or General Certificate of Education (GCE) equivalent with five (5) Credits or better;
2.    University Degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration or related field;
3.    Minimum of two (2) years relevant post qualifying work experience; and
4.    Must possess a valid membership to the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management at Associate level and above.
